DMAR CE Class – Retirement Mortgages

It is important to keep up with the current trends in real estate and finance, but it is just as important to learn how to use these tools to enrich your clients’ experience when working with you. This course teaches the requirements and benefits of a retirement/reverse mortgage, what to expect and when one might be appropriate for your clients. Upon completion of this course participants will understand how to properly explain to your clients how a retirement/reverse mortgage loan works as well as how to use one when purchasing a home. In this course, we will discuss what retirement/reverse mortgages are, the requirements, eligibility, retirement/reverse mortgages for purchase and the Benefits.
Here are a few things a retirement/reverse mortgage loan could help your clients with:

- Increase your client’s purchasing power and flexibility
- No monthly mortgage payments (taxes, insurance, and maintenance required)
- Move closer to family, better weather, or a more appropriate home
We will also cover how to use a retirement/reverse mortgage in retirement to improve cash flow, avoid sequence of returns risk, pay less in income taxes*, and live a better quality of life in retirement with less worries. We will also touch on several very important questions in retirement as well: Are interest, real estate taxes, or mortgage insurance a deduction when paid? Are deductions passable onto the heirs?
